Guide for Employers Recruiting E-7-3 Skilled Foreign Workers
Eligibility and required documents for aquaculture, slaughter, auto-parts manufacturing, and automotive body/paint businesses.
E-7-3 is a Specific Activities status for skilled foreign workers with relevant experience and technical ability, not for simple labor. Immigration reviews the employer, the worker's qualifications, actual duties, wages, and the need for employment.
1. Aquaculture Technician (6301)
The business must actually conduct aquaculture and its license, permit or report must match its operations.
Documents: business registration; aquaculture license/permit/report; valid aquaculture operating contract.
2. Slaughter Sector
The workplace must legally and actually conduct slaughter-related operations.
Documents: business registration; slaughter permits and approvals; livestock-product business license.
3. Auto-parts Manufacturing Worker (S85411)
Covers mold, forming and welding skills.
Employer requirements: outside the Seoul metropolitan area; 10-299 regular employees; average annual sales of at least KRW 1 billion in the last year; confirmation as an auto-parts company by the metropolitan local government; review of immigration-law violations or foreign-worker absconding during the last two years; E-7-3 workers generally limited to 30% of Korean employees.
Send first: business registration; proof of auto-parts manufacturing; factory registration if applicable; desired headcount; desired field (mold/forming/welding).
4. Automotive Body & Paint Worker (S75104)
Covers body repair, restoration, refinishing and surface treatment. In principle the employer must be a comprehensive automobile maintenance business.
Requirements/documents: at least five Korean employees maintained for three months (four social-insurance roster); business registration; automobile-management business registration; SME certificate; national/local tax clearance certificates; desired headcount and body or paint field; housing availability.
Final eligibility is determined by the applicable immigration and local-government standards.
